VIVA MEXICO
.........................................................................................................................................................................................
For 1998 it was decided to put on a show called "Viva Mexico". Not a very well known show, it was written especially for the amateur stage. It is very funny, very colourful and the whole company are on the stage for a lot of the show. The music is written in South American style and is very catchy. We were due to stage the show in October, but due several problems beyond our control it was finally staged for two nights in December. Although everyone involved enjoyed the show, and we performed to two sell-out audiences, we finished up making an overall loss on the show. John Hughes produced the show, Martyn Palfreyman was Musical Director and Maurice Chillington played the drums.
